Troy is one of the three founding partners of Dream Polishers, Inc. DBA Furniture Medic, and she is a native of Florida. Having moved away to work in Pennsylvania for her Property and Casualty insurance career, she returned to her native home in 2001.
Troy manages the shop and is our finisher. When you send a piece to us for finishing or refinishing, Troy is probably the one who will spray the actual finish on the piece. She consults with our customers to determine what they want, such as custom finishes and color, and then actually does a lot of the work herself. That is not, however, all she does. Having attended the Furniture Medic Academy and Post Academy, as well as a Mohawk Wood Touch-Up and Repair workshop, she is one of our best. She also does most all jobs related to the shop, except for structural repairs. While she is a good coach, she leaves the actual work to our structural repair person. Troy is also approved by the State of Florida to deliver our Continuing Education course for insurance adjusters and agents.
Having always been handy and not minding getting dirty, her current role is perfectly suited to her and she gets enormous satisfaction out of taking something that isn’t much when it comes in and making it into a thing of beauty when it leaves.
Troy is Jack Parker’s wife, a mother of two, and a grandmother of three.
