Duane joined our organization on June 18, 2007.  He and his wife moved to Florida in 2004 from Illinois to be with their daughter and grandchildren.  His carpentry work started with a double-story tree house when he was only eight years old.  He also had his own furniture business for several years where they designed and hand-built a line of country style pine pieces called the “Sugar Creek Collection”.  He also worked with a local cabinet company that ran into tough times last year so he found himself looking for a job.  Lucky for us!  Duane was so anxious to join our organization that he attended the Furniture Medic Cabinet Refacing class in early June of 2007 that was held in our shop on his own time.  Soon after he was part of our organization.
